F.A.Q.

Q: What is SparkThink?

SparkThink is an innovative and immersive digital product that is built by Slalom for Slalom. This easy-to-use product allows users to facilitate workshops, conduct surveys, gather consensus, and move projects forward — in person or remotely.

Q: What features are included in SparkThink?

SparkThink is more than just a modern survey and workshop product. The application includes features that helps users engage with participants and deliver real results:

  • Infrastructure and backend hosted on AWS
  • High performance, speed and responsiveness
  • Simplified user interface for application admins and participants
  • Broad range of survey type questions with more always in the works
  • Multi-thread question logic in surveys
  • Inclusion of an “Other” option in survey questions that allows participants to enter their preferred option directly into the question set
  • “Distribute” tools that make creating and sending links simpler
  • Answer randomization
  • Quick access to workshops via a projected QR code (a game-changer!)
  • Vastly simplified workshop tool interface and controls
  • Workshop activities added such as "2x2 Matrix" and "Ranking"
  • Increase of simultaneous workshop users from 500 to 10,000+
  • Auto-generated workshop reports (no more pasting screen grabs into a word doc!)
  • Downloadable survey report that is more easily imported into data visualization tools

Q: How do I access SparkThink?

Go to sparkthink.slalom.com and simply login with your Slalom credentials. There is no signup process.

Q: Who can use SparkThink?

All Slalom employees have access to SparkThink for surveys and live workshops.

Q: Can clients use SparkThink?

Clients can absolutely take SparkThink surveys and participate in workshops, but we are not making the tool itself available for licensing or use outside of a Slalom project. Only Slalom employees can access SparkThink as admins.

Q: What’s the difference between SparkThink and SurveyMonkey or other survey tools?

SparkThink is a modern survey tool developed by Slalom with many of the same features as SurveyMonkey, SurveyGizmo and others. Those tools do have some more advanced features that haven’t yet been integrated into SparkThink. However, we believe that SparkThink will handle the majority of your survey needs.

Q: What’s the difference between SparkThink and tools like Miro?

SparkThink is a great option for real-time brainstorming, prioritization, voting, team alignment, and for creating interactive surveys. At this time it does not include white boarding capabilities.

Q: What exactly does SparkThink do?

SparkThink is designed to help you gather perspectives and get alignment in real-time. It includes a modern survey tool for distributed or asynchronous data collection, and a workshop tool that enables you to collect ideas and set up voting/polling in real-time in person or remotely.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of people I can include in a survey or workshop?

SparkThink can accommodate hundreds of thousands of survey respondents, and up to 10,000+ simultaneous users in a live workshop.

Q: Who can I talk to if I have more questions about SparkThink?

We will be adding more support and product information to the application over time, but you can always reach out to the SparkThink Team for more information at SparkThink@slalom.com, Slalom Help, or the SparkThink Teams channel.
